January 31st, 2011 - Bryce Johnson

The Riverside Rebels played Big Horn Friday the 28th. The Rebels were down by four at the half even though the offense was working great for them and they were executing plays on both sides of the court. But at the end of the game the Rams pulled away from the Rebels with a 61-37 victory.

The Riverside Rebels played a wonderful game against the Shoshoni Wranglers with a 68-63 victory. The Rebels executed their offense and ran their defense effectively. Brynnt Wood led the team in points. Mike Miller also had a good game with 16 rebounds. The two teams battled each other throughout the game by hitting their shots and making good decisions. Next week they host Greybull, St. Stephens, and Wyoming Indian. Good luck Rebels.

The Lady Rebels went in to Big Horn with nothing to lose. Even though the game ended in a 59-37 loss, the Lady Rebels played their hearts out till the end. The lead scorer was Michelle Hovey with 8 points and she also led the team in rebounds. Halli Stocklin didn't play this game due to a hand injury from the previous game against Rocky.

The Riverside Lady Rebels fell short against the Shoshoni Lady Wranglers with a 52-32 defeat on Saturday. The lead scorer for the Rebels was Michelle with 13 points. Brittany Vigil led the Rebels in the most rebounds and steals. The Lady Rebels just didn't execute to the top. Next week they face Greybull, St. Stephens, and Wyoming Indian. All the games will be home so come support them.

January 24th, 2011 - Bryce Johnson

The Riverside Rebels fell to the Lovell Bulldogs 73-30 on Friday the 21st. The Rebels went up against the number one 2A team in the state and fell short. Overall the Rebels played a pretty good game.

The Riverside Rebels lost to the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies by seven points on Saturday January 22nd. The end score was 58-51. Even though the game ended in defeat for the Rebels, it as intense to the last second and very close from the first to the last quarter. The Rebels lead scorer was Brynnt Wood and for the Grizzlies it was Brandon Foster. This week, the Rebels travel to Big Horn on Friday the 28th and host Shoshoni on Saturday the 29th. The Lady Rebels lost 54-23 to the Lady Lovell Bulldogs. The Lady Bulldogs overwhelmed the Rebels and caused another lost. The lead scorer for the Rebels was Michelle Hovey with ten points. Then next with four points was Brittany Vigil.

The Lady Rebels fell short to the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies 45-27. The Lady Grizzlies came ready to play and they did and earned a victory. The Rebels played until the very end. The lead scorer for the girls was Cydney Clark with ten points. They play at Big Horn on Friday the 28th and host Shoshoni on Saturday the 29th. Go get them Lady Rebels.

December 16th, 2010 - Stephanie Bowden

The basketball tournament 2010-2011 had a very good outcome. We had a lot of fans travel to Burlington to watch both the Lady Rebels and the Rebels play. This weekend we played Big Piney, Farson, Dubois, and Wind River.

The Lady Rebels Junior varsity are 1-1, they lost their game against Big Piney, but won their game against Wind River. While on the other side of the coin Lady Rebels Varsity is 2-1, with a win against Farson and Dubois and a loss against Big Piney.

The Rebels also did very well. The junior varsity team is 0-2, they lost their game against Big Piney, and Wind River, but they tried their hardest. While the boy’s varsity team is like the girls they are 2-1, with a win against Farson and Big Piney and a loss against Dubois.

Thanks to all of you who came out and watched the tournament and cheered us on. This weekend we play Tongue River at home while the boys are away. We wish everyone the best of luck.
